Here you will always find the American flag
waving and the American eagle flying.
I left the light on in case
you arrived after dark.
Come join in for some
time to relax.
Let me get you a cup of coffee, it
won't take long, I'll be quick!
There! Now it is time for your dose!
June has the Summer Solstice, the day with the longest
daylight of the year, typically on June 21st, which is also National
Nude day.
June is often considered a "summer month", whereas
September is not. This is despite the fact that September has twice
as many summer days as June.
June is the sixth month of the year in the Julian and
Gregorian calendars and one of the four months with a length of 30 days.
June is the month with the longest daylight hours of the year in the
Northern Hemisphere and the shortest daylight hours of the year in the
Southern Hemisphere. June in the Northern Hemisphere is the seasonal
equivalent to December in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. In
the Northern hemisphere, the beginning of the meteorological summer
is June 1st. In the Southern hemisphere, the beginning of the meteorological
winter is June 1st. - See more at: http://popculturemadness.com/Trivia/June/index.php#sthash.ICWAw9jY.dpuf

Flowers are those little colorful beacons of the sun from
which we get sunshine when dark, somber
skies blanket our thoughts.

Proud of his young ones for sure.
Love the old lanterns that would light the way.
Mom saved one from the farm we grew up on and
I now have it displayed for all to see.

ONE
One song can spark a moment,
One flower can wake the dream.
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.
One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal
One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey.
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.
One voice can speak with wisdom,
One heart can know what's true,
One life can make a difference,
You see, it's up to you!
Every single day is a new beginning.
All of your yesterday ended last night.
This day is absolutely new. Grasp it.
You've never lived it before and it will
not be repeated. Make it count.

"If you open your heart wide enough
you will discover many who
will fill the voids left by others. If you
open your eyes wide enough
you will find such people all around you."

Some of you ask: "dispatcher for what?"
I reply: "fire, EMS and our county Sheriff."
My husband and I now take part in the volunteer program
called 'Community Watch.' We are seen, and we observe,
and report any crime, assist with traffic control, will
do lock-outs and participate in many community festivals
and activities. It is our way of helping to keep the community safe.
